A practical workflow for choosing a layout, checking physical dimensions, and producing a reliable print file.

1. Choose the page for the writing task

Use lined or dot paper for flexible notes, grid paper for measured diagrams, Cornell notes for active recall, and the dedicated music or language layouts for structured practice.
The template picker changes the drawing logic as well as the label. Start from the closest real use instead of forcing one layout to imitate another.

Match A4, Letter, or another preset to the paper in the printer tray. Use custom width and height only when making an insert or a non-standard sheet.
Spacing and margins are stored in millimeters. Leave extra room on a punched or bound edge before adjusting colors and decoration.
The browser preview shows page proportions, but every printer has its own non-printable edge. Treat the first printed sheet as a calibration page.

Guides should remain visible without competing with pencil or ink. If fine lines disappear, increase line width slightly before making the color much darker.
Keep logos, watermarks, and page numbers inside the previewed margins. Print one page with the same paper and printer intended for the final batch.

Choose PDF for direct printing, SVG for vector editing, PNG for image-based workflows, or DOCX when the page must remain inside an editable office document.
When dimensions matter, print at 100% or Actual Size and disable Fit to Page. Measure the first result with a ruler before producing multiple copies.
Export the JSON configuration after a successful test. Importing it later restores the same page size, spacing, margins, colors, and optional elements.

Wrong physical size: disable browser or printer scaling and confirm the selected paper size matches the loaded paper.
Clipped edge: increase the affected margin because the printer cannot reach that part of the sheet.
Missing or heavy guides: adjust line width and color, then test again on the final paper stock.
